Black Silicon Carbide is produced by fusion of quartz sand, anthracite and high-quality silica in electric resistance furnace. The SiC blocks with most compact crystal structure near the core are carefully selected out as raw materials. Through perfect acid and water washing after crushing, the carbon content reduced to the minimum and then the shining pure crystals are obtained. It is brittle and sharp, and has certain conductivity and thermal conductivity.
It has stable chemical properties, high conductivity coefficient, low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent wear-resistance, and is suitable for refractory and grinding applications.
